Raspberry sauce

Raspberry sauce, originally uploaded by kitschenette.

Lazy afternoon cooking. In fact, I hesitate to call it ‘cooking’, more accurate is ‘stirring’, perhaps.

Take a batch of raspberries, the juice of an orange and heat through to loosen the juice and seeds. Strain through a sieve to remove seeds (make sure you press it down to remove as much pulp as possible), return to enamel saucepan and simmer to desired thickness. Add a touch of sugar if necessary.

Totally delicious, natural and healthy. Good for smoothies, icecream, pancakes, french toast and all manner of other comfort foods. Added bonus: makes your house smell really fantastic!
